Buffing

At Detailed-2-Perfection, we understand the importance of protecting your car, truck or boat against harsh weather and other harmful substances, such as tree sap, tar and salt.

Before we begin to buff a car, we thoroughly wash the vehicle. Using a special pressure sensitive hose, we rinse the car off to remove any dirt or surface stains. We carefully clean each panel of the car with high quality automotive body rags, making sure to cover the entire surface of the vehicle.

Most of the time, tar or paint from the road will be left on the surface and will not come off with just soap and water. Once the car is completely dry, we inspect the paint for any left-over stains, overspray, swirl marks, fine scratches and hard water spots. If there are tar or other similar stains on your car, we use a specially formulated solution made for removing grease and tar. The other problems are remedied during our buffing process.

When the paint is completely clean, we are ready to buff your car. If parts of your paint look faded or dull or show signs of oxidization, have surface scratches or overspray, we apply a rubbing compound designed for clear coat paint jobs. This compound is then applied with an electronic buffer. Our proprietary buffing techniques in conjunction with our compounds, polishes, and waxes allow us to restore your vehicle’s paint to the original luster and showroom shine.

Finally, we apply our high quality durable paste wax. Using our ultra sheen automotive cloth, we apply the wax one panel at a time and be sure to steer clear of trim areas. We believe it is our refined process and attention to detail that set our services above the competition.
